Quick start
Build your first AR project and share it as a link in about ten minutes. Then pick an idea to build next.
With AR Clip you build AR and 3D projects that open from a link, in the browser, with nothing to install. You do not need to know 3D or write code. Most projects are objects plus simple rules: "when this is tapped, do that".
Your first ten minutes
1. Create an account
Sign up at arclip.design. The free plan covers everything on this page.
2. Create a project
Open My projects, press + Add project, give it a name and press Create. Studio, the editor, opens with an empty scene.
3. Add a cube
Press + in the top bar, choose Shape → 3D shape and add a Box. Drag it around. Your scene already works.
4. Make it react
The cube will rise when someone taps it:
WHEN someone taps it
THEN move it up 0.2 m over 400 ms
- Select the cube. Click + new component and choose States.
- Click add state and move the cube up 0.2 m. Click the first state to put it back.
- Add an Events component. Its event already reacts to Press on the object.
- Click the event. Under On click or tap, click + add action and choose Set state. Pick the second state and set Duration to 400 ms.
An event is a trigger ("when") and a list of steps ("then"). You need no code, and events cover most of what a project needs.
5. Try it
Press Preview and tap the cube.
That is expected. The editor does not run your logic while you build, so animations do not get in your way. Always check how things behave in Preview.
6. Share it
Press Publish. You get a link. Send it to someone — it opens on their phone, with no app to install.
Every project is made this way: add objects, give them events, preview, publish.
Pick an idea
Choose the one closest to what you have in mind.
An Image scene. Upload the printed artwork, set its real width and add content on top. A good first project.
Product viewerA 3D scene with a model and orbit controls. No AR, so it works everywhere and opens instantly. Good for a shop or a portfolio.
Object on a tableA Surface scene. The visitor taps to place your content on a real floor or table, then walks around it. Good for furniture and machines.
Face filterA Face scene with a mask, or an object attached to a point on the face. Good for campaigns and toys.
Small gameObjects with physics, a character to control and a score on screen. A good way to learn the whole toolkit.
Something without ARConfigurators, games, training, dashboards — many projects never open the camera.

API access
You need an API key only to control AR Clip from your own tools, or to let an AI assistant work in your project. Most people never need one.
To create a key, open the menu under your avatar in the dashboard and choose API & MCP. You can limit what the key can do. Read-only is enough for analysis, and it cannot break anything.
A key works like a password. Never paste it into a chat, a screenshot or a public repository. Nobody legitimate will ask you for it in a conversation.
